ABOUT THE ROLE
The H2R Application Development Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing technical solutions to meet business requirements for the Hire to Retire (H2R) process stream. This includes estimating the level of effort, converting business requirements into functional and/or technical design specifications, and performing system configuration, implementation, and testing in line with the Americas Digital Services Change Management Process. Other duties include creating necessary documentation, providing post-Go-Live support, and transferring knowledge to other members of the Application Management team to support the daily operations of implemented solutions.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Design and implement technical solutions based on business requirements for major projects and enhancements that have been approved by Business Process Owners and the ECRB (Enterprise Change Review Board).
- Estimate the level of effort and convert business requirements into functional/technical design specifications for H2R systems.
- Collaborate with the Design Team to ensure the technical solution is aligned with architectural principles and the proposed design.
- Configure, develop, and implement solutions based on technical/functional design specifications.
- Document test cases and perform unit and integration testing.
- Provide support to Business/Key Users during User Acceptance Testing when needed.
- Document and hand over the implemented solution to other members of the Application Management/Support Team.
- Work closely with Delivery Managers as a subject matter expert to ensure all changes are delivered on time, within budget, and at the expected quality.
- Develop system applications using various SAP Technologies.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience working with SAP Human Resources.
- At least 10 years of solid experience with SAP ECC HCM, specifically US and Canadian Payroll.
- Experience in a multi-employer, multi-state/province, multi-union, and multi-pay frequency environment with a population of over 20,000 employees.
- Sound knowledge of Rules and Schemas with the ability to write new ones.
- Experience with SAP - Time management-CATS (Cross Application Time Sheet) and ESS/MSS.
- Experience configuring Holiday Calendars, Work schedules, Quotas and Positive and Negative Time Management.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in English.
- Ability to work in a multicultural and multi-located team.
Additional Requirements:
- SAP HCM Certification desired.
- Experience with Successfactor Employee Central and Payroll control center.
- Experience with Successfactor add-on SAP ECC.
- For the US: experience with BIS-SAP integration, State Income Tax Reciprocity Rules, SUI, 401K Plans, W2, W4, and US Health & Insurance Plans.
- For Canada: experience with T4 & RL Forms, Online filing, WSIB, and Online ROE 2.0.
- Extensive experience with Union Payment related configuration, Garnishments, Benefits integration with external service providers for both Inbound & Outbound, and TP Vendor payments for both US & Canada.
- Experience with Success Factor: Employee Central, Payroll control center, and add-on.
- Must have configuration experience with Time Types, Overtime and Time Wage Type.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
- Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
