ABOUT THE ROLE
The Plant Administrator is a key member of the operations team; expense tracking, supporting data management and system reporting. The Plant Administrator will work closely with the field operations to ensure best practices are followed. The Plant Administrator will effectively manage and process the administrative functions for the business which include finance, forecasting, payroll, accounts payable, resolving supplier invoice issues, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Procurement & Financial Processing: Request and create purchase orders, process receiving records in Ariba, manage invoicing plans for HME leases/rentals, submit check requisitions and government remittances, and ensure CAPEX purchases follow BuyWays policy.
- Expense Management Support: Assist Plant Managers with monthly expense accruals, PCard transactions, and T&E (Travel & Expense) reporting to ensure accurate and timely financial tracking.
- Payroll & Labor Administration: Process payroll for all plant personnel with accurate cost center coding and work order assignment; ensure consistent labor/overtime hour entry and employee file maintenance.
- Employee Lifecycle Coordination: Handle vacation requests, onboarding tasks (criminal/health checks, EMF benefits), new hire documentation, leave tracking, and entry/reporting in the Convergence training system.
- Accounts Receivable Oversight: Support Vancouver Island payroll, AR/Collections, and serve as customer liaison to resolve invoicing issues; document all communication in ATB and ensure accurate payment application.
- AR Reconciliation & Issue Resolution: Work with NABS/Job Cost to reconcile accounts, investigate short/overpayments, and determine root causes to maintain clean and accurate AR.
- Hauler Pay Management: Code and enter haul timesheets in the Hauler Pay system, generate month-end reports and pay statements, and assist operators with pay-related issues.
- Office & Facility Administration: Manage office and building supply needs, coordinate maintenance, and perform general administrative tasks to support plant operations.
- Operational Compliance & Safety: Participate in JHSC meetings, ensure adherence to LOTOTO procedures, and follow all company safety, labor relations, and union policies.
- Production & Vendor Accountability: Support KPI tracking, maintenance coordination, inventory reconciliation, and vendor management—including ensuring accurate payment terms and sustaining strong working relationships.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Post-secondary education is preferred.
Additional Education Preferred: N/A
Field of Study Preferred: Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Required Work Experience: 3-5 years of accounting experience is preferred in addition to other relevant construction materials experience
Required Training/Certifications: N/A
Required Technical Skills: Microsoft Suite.
Travel Requirements: 0-10%

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
