COMPANY OVERVIEW

Amrize Building Envelope division is looking for a Mobile Trainer (MT) in the East Region. The MT is a vital member of the Technical Services team. The key responsibilities are to provide "At Your Location Training." The MT will maintain a consistent training program across the Eastern region. Training will be conducted utilizing a fully stocked Mobile Training Unit which can be towed behind the trainer’s vehicle. The MT's other job duties include: working closely with the Training and Special Projects Manager, the National Training Manager, and at times the Safety Manager to create and maintain consistent Amrize Building Envelope training programs across all regions that are focused on safety, new products, and
best practices.

***This position is for the Eastern Territory. The Mobile Trainer must live within the territory in order to serve the needs of the clients and the business. The Eastern region consists of: North Carolina.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

● Conduct trainings consisting of a classroom and PowerPoint presentation, along with product demonstrations and hands-on installation. Training covers Elevate, GACO, Gen-Flex, Metal, and Modified product lines.
● Provide back-up assistance to regional FTR’s to alleviate any potential down - time during large group trainings to maintain a consistent learning environment throughout the training event.

● The MT will be responsible for assisting FTR’s organize and assist with training for local roofing contractors and when training is held at a material distribution location

● For larger training events, the MT will order materials, as well as coordinate and conduct trainings and demonstrations with the assistance of the local FTR.
● Provide technical support to Marketing when attending trade shows or other high-profile event.
● The MT will work with product managers, marketing, and sales to create product installation videos including set set-up, storyboards, and scripts as needed.
● MT will also assist with warranty claims, product claims investigations, and roof system inspections for high priority jobs or as needed to cover an area for a FTR that is not able to provide inspection services. MT to assist or provide inspection services for high priority projects or projects that require excessive travel. Coordinated by the Training and Special Projects Manager.
● Follow and enforce corporate and division policies and applicable governmental safety regulations as required.
● Provide FTR training as new hire or as continued education for new products or installation processes.
● Conduct annual FTR job performance audits.
● Manage or perform other tasks or projects as assigned.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

● Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, or Architecture

OR
● Minimum 8 years’ active duty in a construction trade military occupational specialty (MOS) (verified by DD214)
OR

● High school diploma and minimum of 10 years’ construction experience in a Foreman or Superintendent role, or as a Technical Representative for a commercial roofing manufacturer.

 

Stronger Candidates will also have:
● Strong technical expertise in most of the following products and an aptitude to learn the rest:

○ Single-Ply Roofing Systems including: A) EPDM, B) TPO, C) PVC
○ Asphalt Roofing Systems including: D) SBS, E) APP, F) BUR
○ Metal Systems: G) Standing Seam Roofs, H) Cavity Wall Assemblies
○ Roofing Coatings including: I) Silicone Roof Coatings, J) Acrylic Roof Coatings
○ Urethane Systems including: K) P.U.F. Roofing, L) Wall Foam
○ Garden Roofing Systems including: M) Built In Place, N) Modular
● Must be personable and professional and maintain a high-level of integrity.
● Strong customer service focus.
● Strong verbal and written communication skills.
● Ability to think outside the box.
● Good organizational and time management skills are a must.
● Must be able to travel overnight 50% to 80% of the work year by air or car.

● Be able to tow and maneuver a trailer in tight spaces, including backing the trailer. 

● Must also be able to work flexible hours with minimum notification when necessary. 

● Must possess a current driver’s license.
● Candidate must reside in North Carolina
