Job Purpose
The Supply Chain Planner II is responsible for planning and coordinating the BE supply chain using the
most efficient and effective means available. This can include supply & capacity planning, and distribution
of finished goods. This position focuses on ensuring that supply capacity can support customer demand
through the Sales and Operations Planning process.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supply & Inventory Planning
-Monitor supplier performance for select vendors
-Document supply/demand/capacity balances, trends, and supplier interruptions
-Utilizing SAP functionality, timely PO creation to meet demand and vendor lead times – twice
weekly minimum depending on SKU
-Review mid-to-long range stocking plans (3-18 months) based on a monthly Demand Forecast;
present any foreseen issues in S&OP Meetings
-Track monthly performance (receipts & sales) versus S&OP plan
-PO ETA Tracking Sheet – update vendor committed delivery dates and communicate changes as
necessary to ensure customer satisfaction, automatically update via LSMW
-Support the build out of vendor scorecards, measuring service levels and communication
-Lead vendor meetings to review service levels and critical shipments/ misses
-Based on monthly variances to sales plan, coordinate with the Sales team for Sales control of
items/plants that have over-sold forecast or promotional plans for items/plants that have under-
sold forecast
-Work with Customer Service team to process returns, expedite products, and other customer
requests/ queries
-Proactively work with suppliers to monitor and improve their performance
-Provide timely updates to management and internal customers on key accessory issues
-Collaborate with IT groups to streamline SKU/ inventory management
Distribution
-Plan and direct the deployment of Amrize products consistent with marketing requirements and
sound inventory control
-Ensure proper SKU/ site mix strategies to cover demand and eliminate stranded inventory
-Support new product launch by sourcing and developing new products at the optimal source for
the Supply Chain network
-Coordinate inventory control by developing make to order/make to stock decisions, dispositioning
slow moving and obsolete materials and establishing safety stocks
-Evaluate inventory for slow moving/ obsolete items, provide recommendations to Product
Management team for updates to portfolio offering
-Coordinate development of analytical techniques providing optimal visibility to drive effective
decision making
-Lead various cross-functional projects to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management/Business/Industrial Engineering and at least 2
years directly related experience.
-Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office and other ERP systems preferred
-Excellent communication and project management skills
Working Conditions
Four days in office / one day remote
