ABOUT THE ROLE

Amrize is an environmentally responsible producer of high quality construction materials. We operate six regional construction materials businesses and a national Building Materials business in the United States, supplying aggregate-based materials and contracting services to a wide range of projects including large, publicly financed infrastructure projects, commercial, and residential developments. The core business of producing crushed stone and sand and gravel is enhanced by value adding operations that produce ready mixed concrete, asphalt, and concrete products. In addition, recycling, liquid asphalt, soil remediation and retailing operations are also offered in some business regions. Currently we are seeking high energy candidates with experience and with a combination of the below description.

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Runs dozers, loaders, excavators, haul trucks or other types of large equipment used for paving or moving, grading and compacting earth, sand, gravel, stone and/or asphalt materials.
  • Conducts routine daily inspections of equipment and maintains equipment in a clean and safe manner.
  • Operates equipment, loading material into bins, into crusher, into trucks or into plant. Moves earth or other materials from one location to another. Runs paving/grading equipment.
  • Performs visual and safety inspection of equipment. May maintain appearance of equipment, proper air pressure in tires, proper fluid levels or perform minor repairs as needed.
  • Completes are paperwork that may be necessary; assists with other duties required
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Minimum of one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Excellent driving skills 
  • Valid Driver’s License

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
