ABOUT THE ROLE
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing industrial electrical systems and controls in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

.Perform process and production maintenance across the facility, including electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, plumbing, and fabrication tasks.

Assemble, install, repair, and dismantle industrial machinery and heavy equipment such as pumps, conveyors, and bearings.

Read blueprints and technical manuals; align machines and equipment using various tools.

Conduct root cause analysis, troubleshoot malfunctions, and perform corrective actions to improve reliability.

Complete preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines following specifications.

Utilize mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair skills.

Inspect and measure parts using precision tools; remove and replace defective components using hoists, cranes, and power tools.

Adhere to safety policies, participate in safety programs, and comply with local health regulations.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent (Trade Certification preferred)
Required Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of industrial electrician experience (preferably in mining or construction)
Required Training/Certifications:Interprovincial Red Seal Certification (Electrician) through a recognized apprenticeship program
Additional Requirements:

Proven experience with electrical control systems

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Basic proficiency in computer applications (email, Word, Excel)

Effective verbal and written communication in English

Willingness to work flexible hours or rotating shifts as needed
-
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
