ABOUT THE ROLE 

This position provides engineering and technical support for stormwater treatment products within our Pipe and Precast division. The focus is on working with engineers, municipalities, and agencies to ensure our solutions, such as Stormceptor, Jellyfish Filter, Filterra, API, and Coalescing Plate Oil-Water Separators, are effectively specified in project designs.
Key responsibilities include product sizing and design, preparing accurate shop drawings, tracking project specifications, and promoting our systems as preferred alternatives to competing products. The engineer will also support marketing efforts for licensed Imbrium technologies and other key stormwater solutions by offering technical guidance that drives informed product selection and adoption.
This role emphasizes delivering clear, effective support to engineers, municipalities, and contractors, guiding product choices and highlighting the benefits of our solutions to influence favorable, well-informed decisions.

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Serve as the primary technical and product information resource for engineers, specifiers, and municipalities, ensuring Amrize is their trusted first choice.
  • Assist customers with design, prepare accurate shop drawings, and track project specifications and pricing of concrete products to support effective project planning and order fulfillment.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations to promote product benefits and differentiate our offerings from competitors.
  • Lead sales and marketing efforts for Stormwater treatment products, ensuring timely follow-up and customer responsiveness. 
  • Create innovative marketing tools and materials, working closely with the technical marketing team to influence and educate customers effectively.
  • Attend and represent the company at trade shows, conventions, and association meetings to enhance product visibility and gather market intelligence.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends, providing actionable insights to management to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Provide regular written reports on marketing successes, challenges, and prospective project opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor of Applied Science - Civil Engineering (Preferred). Civil Engineering Technology diploma and a A.Sc.T. designation will also be considered
Additional Education Preferred: Project Management certificate or equivalent related work experience
Field of Study Preferred: Civil Engineering / Civil Engineering Technology
Required Work Experience: 1 year of experience
Required Training/Certifications: Ability to become or be registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with Engineers & Geoscientists British Columbia or A.Sc.T. (Applied Science Technologist) designation.
Required Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in AutoCADD (Required). Public speaking and presentation skills (Required)
Travel Requirements: <20% 


Additional Requirements: 

  • Be willing to pursue education courses from ACPA and attend concrete industry trade/training shows.
  • The successful candidate in the role should be registered as an EIT with EGBC or eligible for registration.
  • Ability to use computer programs to design and market our products.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
