ABOUT THE ROLE 
The Accounts Manager is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with the market’s midsized strategic account holders, while also providing pricing, technical sales support, and day-to-day account management. This role is focused on driving growth of Ready Mix (RMX) business in Calgary by strengthening customer relationships, engaging key decision makers, and delivering sales performance targets while leveraging and improving Salesforce Lightning (SFL) tools to enhance sales effectiveness.

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Drives revenue through strategic account management and solution selling.
  • Manages and develops relationships with market accounts, including handling multiple customers and supporting both annual supply agreements and project-based opportunities. 
  • Reviews and interprets project specifications, including concrete requirements, structural drawings, contract details, and commercial terms for assigned accounts and projects. 
  • Efficiently and accurately prepares quotations using Salesforce Lightning (SFL), ensuring timely submission and alignment with customer expectations and deadlines. 
  • Reviews daily sales reports, identifies and corrects discrepancies promptly, and works closely with Americas Business Services (ABS) and Billing Coordinators to ensure billing accuracy. 
  • Maintains strong customer relationships through regular site and office visits with clients, site superintendents, project managers, and subcontractors, ensuring consistent engagement with key stakeholders. 
  • Ensures full completion and accuracy of Forward Order Book (FOB), pending reports, and sales and revenue forecasts. 
  • Works proactively with customers to resolve site-related issues, pricing concerns, and account challenges to maintain service reliability and satisfaction. 
  • Collaborates with Logistics to ensure optimal product selection, efficient service delivery, and promotion of value-added products and services. 
  • Participates in local industry associations and partnerships to strengthen Amrize presence and support value-based selling initiatives. 
  • Attends and supports customer events to represent Amrize interests and reinforce strategic relationships.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: College diploma or university degree 
Field of Study Preferred: Business, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
Required Work Experience: 5 years of progressive experience in sales, account management, project management or business development within construction, building materials or related industry.
Required Training/Certifications: Valid driver’s license
Required Technical Skills: MS Office, Google Suite, Salesforce (considered an asset)
Travel Requirements: 10%

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience Managing relationships with complex supply and pricing requirements. 
  • Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles, including interpreting specifications, structural drawings, contracts, and tender documents. 
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth through solution selling, relationship management, and strategic account planning (considered an asset). 
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience preparing quotes, managing pricing strategies, and supporting contract negotiations. 
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage effectively with executives, project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors. 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority accounts, deadlines, and site visits simultaneously. 
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with operations, logistics, quality control, finance, and customer service teams. 
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve customer issues in operational environments. 
  • Willing to travel regularly to local job sites and customer locations. 
  • Demonstrated leadership capability or informal leadership experience, including mentoring or supporting other sales team members (considered an asset). 
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
