ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Design and Marketing Engineer for the Calgary Pipe Division, the Pipe EIT would provide technical support across all areas of the Calgary Pipe Team, including project management, engineering and drafting, quality control, operations, estimating and sales. This is a developmental role and an opportunity to gain widespread expertise within our Concrete Products business with the ultimate goal of building a long-term career with Amrize.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Ensure projects are completed on time while meeting contract requirements and client expectations.
- Build strong teamwork between engineering, production, sales, and project teams.
- Maintain consistent product quality through regular inspections and checks.
- Support customers throughout the entire project to keep them satisfied.
- Increase production efficiency by solving problems in the plant and on job sites.
- Support sales growth through pricing, estimating, and planning.
- Help improve product design with practical engineering and drafting support.
- Ensure smooth product delivery by coordinating with contractors and teams.
- Continuously improve processes, problem-solving, and overall project results.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- University Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- Interest in a long-term career in engineering and construction with a goal to pursue P. Eng. or CET designation.
- Knowledge and experience within the consulting engineering industry or design approvals with municipalities/governments is considered an asset.
- On-site construction experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to make rational decisions and resolve conflict.
- Aspiring leader with strong negotiation, presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to master new programs and systems.
- Proactive, analytical, and self-motivated.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
