Description: 

ABOUT THE ROLE
This position is responsible for coordinating accounts payable, payroll, production and plant reporting.

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Reconcile the daily production operating reporting. 
  • Handle and record all receipts and verify the accuracy of related invoices and process them for payment.
  • Account for all in-plant fuel usage and prepare quarterly reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and timely account reconciliation and assist with month end close.
  • Prepare various financial accounting reconciliation, analytical, and statistical reports.
  • Responsible for all accounting functions in keeping with the principles of shared services.
  • Understanding of KRONOS Payroll System and provide support for payroll entry.
  • Maintain regulatory and vendor files.
  • Understanding of SAP system and makes entries throughout system.
  • Respond to vender inquiries, reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies.
  • Purchase requisitions and receiving.
  • Provide Site Specific Hazard Awareness Training.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Proven skills and experience in financial/managerial accounting.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office; Experience with Kronos and SAPS preferred.
  • Results-oriented style, strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Strong interpersonal, management, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to simultaneously perform a multitude of varied tasks.
  • Must be a team player.

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
