ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director of Partnerships & Learning is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing relationships with strategic specifiers from architects, engineers, and general contractors to city mayors, as well as creating and distributing learning content to drive the specification and cross-selling of Amrize solutions.

  • Goal: Serve as a key player in the expansion of advanced building solutions by engaging and partnering with leading specifiers, driving certified professional training and development, as well as learning and sharing platforms and tools.
  • Overview of Responsibilities: This role is responsible for building the learning and knowledge-sharing competency within the strategic partnerships team. Its purpose is to provide accredited learning opportunities to specifiers and the next generation of architects and engineers to empower them to use our solutions in the most advanced way, such as LEED & Fortified, enabling training sessions demonstrating how our solutions enhance energy and material efficiency, building resiliency, and occupant experience from noise control to clean air. This role will support new strategic partnerships to demonstrate these advanced benefits in action, working closely with the sustainability and social impact team as well as our employee volunteerism program with HR.
  • Expectations (Supporting the Office of Strategic Partnerships):
    • Accelerate Amrize growth by building strategic partnerships with specifiers and influencers across the built environment in the US and Canada to drive specification selling, cross-selling and advanced product differentiation, targeting:
      • Architects
      • Engineers
      • Building Developers
      • General Contractors
      • Mayors & urban planners
      • Next Gen architects from High School to University
      • Academic institutions
  • Develop Amrize’s learning academy for Architects, urban planners & specifiers, including online & face to face modules with American Institute of Architects Certification for continuous learning credits, while building awareness for our products & solutions for specification.
  • Build engagement and programs to position Amrize as the partner of choice for architects, engineers, developers, and urban planners, such as:
      • Experts Talks & Podcasts
      • Learning Exchanges & project/building site visits
      • University lectures
      • Awards & scholarships
      • Building Technology Summit, Awards & Challenges
  • Lead and execute strategic programs to engage with leading architects, engineers, developers and urban planners, positioning Amrize as the partner of choice with its advanced building solutions from foundation to rooftop
  • Partner with Innovation and R&D to develop advanced building solutions meeting architects’ needs in line with LEED, Energy Star, and other leading building certifications
  • Contribute to market intelligence and Customer Relationship Management systems to share business and customer leads and intelligence across all business segments as well as leverage data-driven insights to optimize product positioning and promotion
  • Contribute to developing and positioning Amrize’s integrated value proposition from foundation to rooftop in a market-driven way to accelerate cross-selling in key growth segments across infrastructure, commercial, residential, new build, and repair & refurbishment
  • Outreach leadership: Personally lead key outreach and engagement with architects, engineers, academic leaders, federal, state, provincial, and city leaders, and other specifiers.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Develop and distribute learning content geared toward improving specifier understanding of Amrize products and capabilities (1-2 monthly)
  • Identify new partnership opportunities (5-10 annually); successfully manage existing partnerships
  • Schedule business exchange meetings to establish relationships between Amrize and other businesses, especially with specifiers and customers (1-2 monthly)
  • Follow up on all business relationships and coordinate with the Communications team to publish media releases to announce key actions evolving out of partnerships on a monthly or quarterly basis 
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor’s degree required
Additional Education Preferred: Master’s degree 
Field of Study Preferred: Architecture, engineering, and construction backgrounds are preferred, but other educational backgrounds will be considered as long as there is an established understanding of how the building industry operates.
Required Work Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience and a strong track record of success in a fast-paced environment focused on the building industry
Required Training/Certifications: LEED AP credential strongly encouraged
Required Technical Skills: Proficiency with Google and Microsoft productivity software 
Travel Requirements: Ability to travel overnight domestically and internationally up to 50%.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test.
