ABOUT THE ROLE
As we continue to look for more sustainable ways to build, we need world-class talent to join our team. We are seeking an Trading Intern for Summer 2026 who is passionate about sustainability, driven by curiosity and keen to grow, learn, develop and thrive in our high-performance culture. This opportunity will be a 10-week, paid internship beginning May 26th, 2026.
This internship will be based at our Headquarters in Miami, FL.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
As an Accounting Intern, you will work closely with our finance team, contributing to key projects and gaining exposure to various aspects of corporate finance, financial analysis, and budgeting.
- Assist Senior Trading Managers and Trading Managers in gathering Business Intelligence and market data to support medium-to-long term planning and strategy.
- Support the execution of international seaborne trading transactions by helping coordinate information flow between Operations, Chartering, and Finance teams.
- Help maintain and update the customer and supplier portfolio database (Salesforce) to assist in tracking "volume doubling" initiatives and new business prospects.
- Conduct research on global freight rates and commodity trends (specifically raw materials like GBFS and Fly Ash) to assist the team in optimizing sourcing strategies.
- Assist in the preparation of contract documentation and trade files to ensure compliance with internal processes and international regulations.
- Participate in mapping operational and strategic moves for specific product segments to help identify new market opportunities in the Americas and abroad.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for enthusiastic students who meet the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program majoring in International Trade, Economics, Management, or Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce is a strong plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to process complex verbal and written instructions regarding logistics and finance.
- Cultural agility and an interest in geopolitical topics, as you will be working with a diverse, international team.
- Bilingual ability (e.g., Spanish, French) is highly preferred to support our cross-regional operations.
SCHEDULE AND ENVIRONMENT
- Work Schedule: This is an onsite role with a mandatory 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, working an 8-hour shift each day.
- Work Environment: You will be working in an office environment.
- Transportation: You will be responsible for your own transportation to and from the worksite.
- Travel Requirements: You may need to travel for site tours, shadowing experiences, or intern events throughout the duration of your internship.
