ABOUT THE ROLE
The District Sales Manager is responsible for maintaining, coordinating, and developing all sales activity within their designated territory. They will be accountable for achieving profit objectives and market share goals for the residential and commercial roofing business.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Oversee and manage revenue for external sales in the territory.
- Develops close relationships with the sales and sales management of distribution channels.
- Maintains a strong, continuous focus on presenting and promoting new opportunities, competitive intelligence, and product requirements.
- Delivers effective presentations and demonstrations emphasizing customer benefits.
- Build long-term, profitable relationships with key customers.
- Responsible for annual sales and profitability targets, including product mix, market share, distribution, and pricing decisions.
- Provides monthly sales forecast to the Regional Sales Manager.
- Analyze market, customer, and product mix to optimize effectiveness.
- Resolve customer issues or difficulties in a manner that is consistent with the company's mission, values, and financial objectives.
- Plan and organize promotional programs with team member execution.
- Responsible for district budget and team expenses.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- A bachelor's degree in business management or a related field.
- Five to eight years of experience in sales/marketing, preferably in the roofing industry.
- Demonstrated skills and success in new account development.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong presentation skills.
- Ability to develop productive relationships and communicate effectively with management, peers, contractors, suppliers, and customers.
