ABOUT THE ROLE
The role of Ready Mix Plant Operator – Batcher is responsible for the primary day-to-day production of Ready Mix Concrete being loaded for Job Sites (Home Owner and other Clients in the industries) This role is also responsible for Plant functioning to produce a high-level Product from AMRIZE.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Adhere to all AMRIZE safety policies and procedures.
- Tangibly support a safe work environment
- Perform general plant operations and clean ups including loading with material, clean-up and moving of materials from deliveries.
- Operating motorized equipment including power tools, loaders, tele handlers
- Work requires alert individuals with good balance and physical strength.
- Perform general Plant maintenance ie. Greasing and inspecting plant equipment to meet high demand of production requirements.
- Work could be exposed to cold and heat, noise and dust.
- Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders from Sales, Logistics, and Operations teams as well as external truck partners.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Required Training/Certifications: Valid driver’s license (Min Class 5)
Required Work Experience: Knowledge in Concrete production software ie: Command, and Marcotte
Required Technical experience: Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office suite of products
Additional Requirements:
- Have a flexible schedule. This position may require an individual to work different shifts.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Problem solving and decision making
- Strong sense of teamwork
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Able to work in a fast paced, high production environment
- Willing to work overtime and shifts when needed including weekends
- Able to work unsupervised
- Good communication skills
- Approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
