ABOUT THE ROLE

This position is responsible for moving product from end of line to the warehouse. Production Trucker maintains count of bundles in each row. Responsible for supporting and collaborating with Team to start the line process. As a part of the production department this position is responsible for achieving safety, quality and production goals, in a manufacturing environment working continuous improvement.

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH 

This position oversees bagger, labeling and moving products to the warehouse.

Responsibilities include Safety, quality, continuous improvement and housekeeping

Details include but are not limited to:
 
● Focus on safety, quality, 5'S and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
● Complete a forklift inspection checklist at the beginning of each shift, prior to use.
● Prepare and handle packaging requirements including bags, stretch wrap, adhesive, labeling requirements, supply of slats (feet) and warehouse storage location.
● Perform piece counts, labeling, visual quality, and warehouse storage.
● Receives product from the laminator upon start-up.
● Process startup material as recycle or waste.
● Ensures all equipment is ready for operation, such as crosscut saws, side saws, stacking guide, dust collector, baler, perforator, etc.
● Ensures all packaging materials are ready for production, such as bundle labels, stretch wrap, ink, etc.
● Move product from the end of the line and place it in designated area of the warehouse for storage using a forklift
● Lock-out Tag-out for specific machinery

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

● High School Diploma
● Must be able to work overtime as needed
● Willing to cross-train and rotate to other positions as needed
● Able to drive a forklift

● Must have good attention to detail
● Must have a good attendance record
● Must have a strong safety record

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

● Work in changing temperature environment (hot or cold)
● Able to work with PPE requirements.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

● Able to lift 50 lbs.
● Able to walk, stand or sit for long periods of time
