ABOUT THE ROLE

The Maintenance Foreman is responsible for leading the maintenance team and ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of plant equipment and facilities. This position oversees maintenance activities, prioritizes work, provides technical guidance, and supports the Plant Manager/Supervisor in improving equipment reliability, productivity, and overall operations.

This position is located in Hubbard, TX.

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, move, and install plant machinery and equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications, engineering plans, and company procedures.
  • Develop, schedule, and oversee preventative maintenance programs for plant equipment, including crushers, conveyor belts, pulleys, pumps, screens, motors, bearings, and other production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including replacing worn or damaged equipment components.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, coaching, and support to maintenance employees while promoting productivity, teamwork, and employee development.
  • Work closely with Plant Managers and Supervisors to prioritize maintenance needs, improve equipment reliability, and support current and future operational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements while promoting a strong culture of safety throughout the department.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR


Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; two to three years of specialized training through a technical school, apprenticeship, or manufacturer’s training program preferred.
Required Work Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in production, maintenance, mechanical repair, installation, construction, or location supervision within the ready mix, mining, aggregates, asphalt, industrial, or related industry.


Additional Requirements:

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial or plant equipment.
  • Ability to safely operate and use shop equipment and tools, including welding and machining equipment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to train, coach, and motivate employees.
