We’re seeking a Field Technical Representative who’s ready to be part of a people-first company offering best-in-class products, exceptional training, and deep industry pride—all built to help our partners and team succeed.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Technical Representative will evaluate the progress and completed work of the approved applications to ensure Elevate products are warrantable. This individual will evaluate all of our systems (metal, TPO, EPDM, APP, SBS, photovoltaic and Garden Roofing Systems) and will assist roofing contractors, building owners and sales representatives to resolve normal installation problems. The Technical Representative will also be responsible to provide roof top trainings and interim inspections to prevent and resolve potential installation problems and provides in-depth training on all roof system installations for newly authorized contractors, existing contractors, sales representatives, distributors, building owners, and Building Envelope (BE) teammates.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Establish training programs for groups of contractors, distributors, sales representatives, building owners and BE teammates using the Elevate educational material with in-depth discussion.
  • The incumbent must be able to perform this function on all marketed roof systems to include (metal, TPO, APP, SBS, BUR, PV, GACO & Solar and Garden Roof systems).
  • Exhibits “hands-on” ability working with Elevate materials in unique applications.
  • Conveys in-depth “how to” and “short cut” information as part of the training activity
  • Inspect and evaluate complex construction situations as they impact installation alternatives.
  • Explain the manner in which Elevate details must be modified in order to effectively address complex job conditions.
  • Ability to resolve “conflict disputes” involving general contractors, architects, building owners, roofing contractors, roof consultants and outside trades.
  • Assist contractors and Sales Representatives in solving complex technical problems involving the application of Elevate products and roofing systems.
  • Thorough completion of all paperwork, including photographs, related to claim to property document Elevate’s position for presentation and future reference, including possible litigation.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • BASE REQUIREMENT (one required)
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, or
    • Minimum of 8 years’ construction experience in a Foreman or Superintendent role, or as a Technical Representative for a commercial roofing manufacturer.
  • PLUS
    • Strong technical expertise in most of the following products and an aptitude to learn the rest:
    • Single-Ply Roofing Systems including: EPDM, TPO, PVC.
    • Asphalt Roofing Systems including: SBS, APP, BUR.
    • Metal Systems: Standing Seam Roofs, Cavity Wall Assemblies.
    • Roofing Coatings including: Silicone Roof Coatings, Acrylic Roof Coatings.
    • Urethane Systems including: P.U.F. Roofing, Wall Foam.
    • Garden Roofing Systems including: Built In Place, Modular.
    • Must be personable and professional and maintain a high-level of integrity.
    • Strong customer service focus.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to think outside the box.
    • Good organizational and time management skills are a must.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel overnight 50% to 90% of the work week by air or car.
  • Must also be able to work flexible hours with minimum notification when necessary.
  • Location of individual should be within 60 minutes of a major airport.
  • Must possess a current Full G driver’s license.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
