Production Supervisor
ABOUT THE ROLE
Primarily responsible for the oversight, coordination and planning of daily production activities to ensure uninterrupted supply, and delivery of product to our customers. Enhances efficiencies in operations, while maintaining a strong safety culture
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Makes recommendations for workforce planning, hiring, training, development, work allocation, conflict resolution, performance evaluations and separations. Supervises, coordinates and monitors plant activities to include the maintenance of equipment.
- Supports and assists personnel in achieving timely and efficient production schedules
- Investigates abnormal operating events, or equipment failures to determine the cause, and makes adjustments, repairs and/or modifications, as needed.
- Performs daily inspections on the plant
- Ensures conformance with policies and procedures, safety regulations, and local, State and Federal laws and regulations.
- Analyses operational data and reconfigures operating areas as necessary to provide adequate, economical service
- Oversees the overall safety of all personnel working at, or visiting the site.
- Ensures proper documentation of operations activities in logs and/or incident reports.
- Maintains an effective system of communications with supervisors and customers service
- Facilitates regular staff meetings and safety toolbox talks.
- Regularly communicates Company financial goals and objectives to direct reports, and ensures they are performing activities daily that support those goals
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school diploma or equivalent Recent graduates with Engineering background
Additional Education Preferred: Associate's degree Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (or equivalent mechanical/electrical training and practical experience)
Required Work Experience:
- 5 year’s experience dealing with maintenance or production Experience in heavy industry experience
- Experience applying FMEA techniques and knowledge of basic problem-solving tools
- Mechanical or electrical maintenance experience (preferable in heavy industry)
Additional Requirements:
- Experience with MMS (Maintenance Management system)- Maximo, SAP, etc..
- Knowledge Project Management Approach (PMA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Cost Basics preferred
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
