ABOUT THE ROLE
Aggregates is an exciting industry where students have the opportunity to experience the innovative and challenging world of mining and mechanical engineering while still being situated in an urban environment. As a Commercial Performance Specialist, you are responsible for supporting several commercial and performance functions while being exposed to a variety of projects around the site.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Data Analysis & Inventory Control: The CPS will assist in creating and managing tools that help analyze and organize raw data to help management understand their KPI’s with a strong focus on AI implementation and process improvement.
- Technical Projects: Projects can include analysis of sales forecasting, ZNA analysis, and employee engagement initiatives.
- 5S projects: Following the 5S Methodology (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain), the CPS must implement the methodology and its standards to help increase efficiency and effectiveness by re-organizing the workplace and eliminating waste.
- Administration: Participate in the daily follow of both paper and electronic data.
- Front end support & customer service: Some opportunities require learning outbound sales systems to support the sales of product.
- Weighing in and out of trucks along with ticketing according to MTO regulations.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Education: Currently enrolled in a College or University Program.
- Field of Study: Business Administration/Commerce, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of MS Office.
- Assets: Database knowledge, Business Analytics, other computer packages (programming), and experience with LLM’s and AI implementation.
- Soft Skills: Good written and verbal communications, demonstrated time management, and teamwork skills.
Additional Requirements:
- Ideal candidates are able to adapt and improve systems to reduce overall task time.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
