ABOUT THE ROLE
This position is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and installation of plant electrical equipment, and requires a good working knowledge of NEC code, electrical standards, pressure and temperature transmitters, PLCs, AC and DC drives, motors, and their controls.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

Demonstrate commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments.

Promote electrical safety and safe work practices among subordinates.

Motivate, train, and educate Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians to maximize productivity and work quality.

Promote electrical preventive and predictive maintenance programs, including systematic inspections and data analysis using diagnostic tools.

Ensure accurate documentation of electrical schematics and maintain spare parts inventory.

Participate in defining, developing, and executing modifications to improve equipment reliability, reduce costs, and enhance safety.

Ensure reliable operation of plant electrical and instrumentation equipment.

Routinely inspect electrical and mechanical equipment, identifying parts and systems in need of repair or replacement.

Communicate daily with Plant Management to discuss items needing repair.

Maintain and repair electrical/mechanical systems associated with crushers, conveyor belts, pulleys, pumps, screens, and related components.

Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High School diploma/GED
Field of Study Preferred: Associates/Technical Degree in Electrical Technology
Required Work Experience:
-
Required: 0-2 years in the electrical field or related industry
-
Required: Valid Drivers License
-
Preferred: Minimum 3 years in the electrical field in cement manufacturing or related industry, Apprenticeship or Journeyman is a plus

Computer literacy
-
Knowledge of RCA and problem-solving tools
-
Working knowledge of lighting systems, plant power distribution, instrumentation devices & systems, motors drives & controls, communication systems, and stand-by power systems

Experience with troubleshooting/installation of 120V – 480V electrical systems; experience with Medium Voltage Systems is a plus
-
PLC and relay logic troubleshooting experience is a plus

Knowledge in hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems

Welding skills are desirable

Travel Requirements: Some travel required

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
