ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Engineering Technology Lead will serve as our corporate Subject Matter Expert (SME) for plant utilities across all manufacturing facilities. This senior-level, full-time remote role will be responsible for the strategic oversight, design, maintenance, and optimization of critical plant infrastructure, including water, air, gas, steam, and electricity. As a key technical leader, the ETL will operate with a high degree of independence to identify infrastructure needs, develop capital projects, and present compelling business cases to senior management. This position requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, particularly Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS), to ensure compliance with OSHA and electrical safety regulations (including Arc Flash/NFPA 70E).
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH:
- Serve as the company-wide SME for all manufacturing utility systems: compressed air, industrial water systems, natural/process gas, steam generation/distribution, and electrical substations.
- Oversee, design, and optimize plant infrastructure to improve reliability, energy efficiency, and operational capacity.
- Lead the strategy and management of electrical infrastructure and Arc Flash safety programs across all sites.
- Independently audit plant systems to identify infrastructure gaps, risks, and modernization opportunities.
- Conceptualize, scope, and develop comprehensive engineering projects from inception to capital approval.
- Create and deliver professional, high-impact presentations to senior management to justify project funding, clearly articulating technical needs, ROI, and operational benefits.
- Ensure all utility and electrical systems strictly adhere to governing regulations, including OSHA compliance and NFPA 70E standards.
- Partner closely with the corporate Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) group to mitigate risks, investigate incidents, and implement robust safety protocols.
- Provide technical mentorship and consultation to local plant maintenance and engineering teams.
- Train operators, maintenance and supervision on the proper operation of equipment and processes related to plant utility systems and monitoring.
- Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Field of Study Preferred: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or close related technical field.
- Required Work Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in engineering and maintenance organizations with a proven track record of designing, managing or supporting heavy plant infrastructure.
- Deep authoritative knowledge of Arc Flash regulations ,MFPA 70E and OSHA standards related to plant utilities.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale capital project ($1M+) and working with third-party engineering firms.
- Required Computer and Software Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Google applications
- AutoCAD
- Statistical analysis tools like Minitab
- Travel Requirements:The position will support multiple sites and travel will be required as necessary on the order of 50-75%.

- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and managing budgets.
- Familiarity with capital projects including engineering and construction is a plus.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
- Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
