ABOUT THE ROLE

Amrize is hiring a Sr. Manager Field Technical Services.  This position is responsible for all field technical services in the assigned area (east or west).  This is a customer facing position and the Sr. Manager Field Technical Services will oversee cross functional teams led by Regional Technical Managers within the region.  The Sr. Manger Field Technical Services is responsible for working with Regional Business Managers, Independent Sales Reps, Contractors and the Field Staff to promote, sell and support products while controlling long term warranty liability and ensuring contractor satisfaction.  The Sr. Manager Field Technical Services teams’ will be responsible for overseeing project review, technical approval, warranty issuance and warranty claims.  


WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH 
•    Lead teams, coaching and mentoring teammates, and challenging personnel to grow to meet assigned company objectives
•    Work with internal and external customers to understand, document, troubleshoot and improve processes in company systems
•    Drive a culture focused on service excellence which helps to differentiate the business as the industry leader in efficiently and effectively servicing the market while responsibly managing organizational liability
•    Act as the in-house technical resource for internal teams and as the escalation point for external customers and others within the organization
•    Define and implement standards across regions to commonize processes, drive efficiency and minimize exposure
•    Lead teams responsible for the entire warranty process from receiving job information, reviewing and approving technical specifications, issuing warranties and handling claims
•    Identify and define KPIs to track performance and manage teams accordingly
•    Review blueprints, construction drawings and specifications and be knowledgeable of the commercial roofing trade and technical field operations
•    Interface with other departments to understand cross-functional impacts, improve customer experience, minimize company exposure and drive effective corporate decisions
•    Manage and negotiate resolutions to complex roofing claims, occasionally reviewing claims personally in the field
•    Review and approve claim expenditures 
•    Review and approve technical deviations
•    Clearly and efficiently communicate with building owners, contractors, consultants and sales reps 
•    Demonstrate and promote a culture of safety, utilizing all necessary PPE and following all safety protocols on roofing projects
•    Participate in corporate initiatives as assigned to enhance company capabilities, performance, and efficiency
•    Collaborate effectively across functional departments (including Marketing, Sales, Quality, R&D, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Field Services) to implement processes and system improvements that improve customer satisfaction, simplify work processes and drive breakthrough growth


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 

•    BA/BS Degree in Business Administration, Construction Management or similar field or a minimum of 10+ years of progressive roofing/construction experience including the management of technical teams or crews
•    Minimum of 5 years experience on the technical or installation side of commercial roofing
•    Should be intimately familiar with roofing materials and general roof assemblies.  Product knowledge should include EPDM, TPO, PVC, Asphalt, ISO, adhesives, etc. 
•    Excellent organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to maintain positive relationships with customers and teammates 
•    High level of intellectual and emotional intelligence is required
•    Demonstrated proficiency in process development, implementation and improvement
•    Ability to effectively lead cross functional teams to support customer experience and limit company liability
•    Driven for success and aspiring to a culture of service excellence, always putting the customer, our people and our business at the center of focus

Working conditions

Position will be office-based in Nashville TN.  Business travel up to 25% of time. 

Physical requirements

Sr. Manager Field Technical Services should be physically capable of climbing extension ladders, accessing vertical roof top hatches during all climate seasons and various weather conditions.  All PPE requirements must be observed at all times.
