ABOUT THE ROLE
Ready Mix Drivers are responsible for the primary day-to-day delivery of Ready Mix Concrete to Job Sites; home owner and industry clients. In this role as a Ready Mix Driver, you will be responsible for customer relationships, giving great service with a Friendly attitude to ensure customers receive a high-level delivery and Product from Amrize. This is a customer-facing role that requires a service-oriented mindset and a highly professional approach.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Adhere to all Amrize safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain equipment by doing daily Pre and Post trip inspections, having a good sense of accountability to keep equipment clean inside and out.
- Build and maintain relationships of trust with customers in assigned geography and own the satisfaction of these customers at all times.
- Responsible for consistent and reliable customer service through delivery, maintaining a delivery service that is a positive, hassle-free experience.
- Navigate around the City of Winnipeg and surrounding areas to maintain on-time deliveries.
- Maintain strong working relationships with Logistics and Operations teams as well as fellow operators.
- Perform operations on electronic devices such as tablets and GPS
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Education: Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of related experience; preference given to those with construction and heavy equipment experience.
- License: Must have a Class 3Q (Air Brakes) or Class 1Q – Drivers abstract REQUIRED.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, ability to use electronic devices (Tablets), and strong teamwork.
- Knowledge: Understanding of building materials industry and product knowledge is an asset.
Additional Requirements:
- Have a flexible schedule; this position may require an individual to work different shifts and be available weekends.
- Understand traffic rules and regulations in a commercial vehicle and be courteous on the road.
- Be able to lift >50lbs.

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
