ABOUT THE ROLE

Effective management of Product Quality Control and Quality Processes to ensure product performance, product cost management, effective reserve utilization and customer satisfaction.

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Implementation of Amrize’s Safety Policies, and Compliance with Government Legislation.
  • Safety Induction of Visitors to Quality Lab or site as required.
  • Execution of Job Hazard Analyses for QC Tasks, and implementation of Action Items.
  • Test and monitor concrete and aggregate quality for the area and provide monthly reports to quality control team.
  • Implement programs and processes to ensure compliance of all products with relevant Codes, Standards, and Specifications.
  • Record, monitor and communicate concrete performance with key stakeholders as required.
  • Perform concrete lab trials for new mixes and/or products.
  • Provide technical product expertise to sales, dispatch and operations.
  • Participate in Quality Audits, including the development and implementation of Action Plans for Quality Improvement.
  • Liaise with customers to ensure acceptable product performance and acquire knowledge for potential innovation
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Education: College Student in Civil, Engineering, Technology or similar.
  • Field of Study Preferred: Civil.
  • Training/Certifications: ACI certification is an asset, but not mandatory.
  • Technical Skills: Independent and resourceful.
  • Travel Requirements: 10%

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Driver license is Mandatory.
  • Ability to lift 25KG and handle a wheelbarrow of concrete.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
