ABOUT THE ROLE
Amrize is seeking an exceptional, high-performing business leader for Southwestern Ontario Aggregates. The Commercial & Logistics Manager will provide strategic direction, manage performance, and develop a team of sales & logistics professionals to achieve Amrize business objectives. This role requires developing and executing a clear commercial vision and strategy, fostering a performance-oriented culture, and upholding health & safety as a core value.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Lead, provide strategic direction, manage performance, and develop a team of sales & logistics professionals.
- Develop, communicate, and execute a clear commercial vision and strategy aligning the team towards common objectives.
- Develop the market’s Commercial Plan based on increasing business profitability, defining growth, margin, and cash ambitions.
- Manage and develop key customer relationships to strengthen solution capabilities and drive greater value.
- Build effective monthly sales forecasts for the management team.
- Manage and develop key supplier relationships with Haulers and customers to optimize deliveries and team performance.
- Manage the logistics team to deliver material safely, on time, and in full at a competitive price.
- Lead the adoption, use, and optimization of digital tools, including TMS, to drive logistic efficiencies.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Education: Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration or equivalent professional experience.
- Work Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of Commercial & Logistics experience with strong leadership skills.
- Experience Asset: Working in the Southwest Ontario Area is considered an asset.
- Mindset: Financial & Commercial mindset along with Tactical & Strategic thinking.
- Skills: Practical problem solving, analytical skills, and excellent people management.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to develop effective internal and external relations.Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
