ABOUT THE ROLE
The Ravena cement plant is considering a new graduate engineer with a background in either process engineering or electrical engineering. The New Graduate is responsible for the operational improvements of all aspects of the plant production and for the computer applications to process controls.
The New Graduate will also be a part of the Amrize US Build4Growth Program. This is an extensive, 14-month cement manufacturing learning and development program designed to provide new graduate engineers with foundational knowledge and experience on the main operational areas of our cement plants. This program is built on a blended learning approach including online learning, face-to-face sessions, on-the-job assignments, and projects.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH (Process Engineer Specific)
- Analyze operations of the Plant and make recommendations for process improvement including Cost/Benefit Analysis.
- Develop process control automation and computer applications for process control.
- Prepare computer reports on the process of operating efficiencies and failure investigation tests.
- Perform tests on operating plant systems to determine the efficiencies of the equipment.
- Provide assistance to management in maintain the Plant within environmental and quality performance regulations.
- Training shift supervisors for SAP reporting and TIS.
- Responsible for New System Implementation (eg. TIS).
- Perform ISO Audits and involved with Month End activity reporting.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH (Electrical Engineer Specific)
- Practice and promote safety in such a way as including but not limited to; assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Will be responsible for programming including CTI PLCs, Ifix HMI, Kiln High Level Control, Mill High Level Control.
- Will be responsible for network maintenance and IT internal support for servers, switches, virtual programming.
- Will be managing projects both electrical and mechanical.
- Will be responsible for the predictive/preventative electrical maintenance program.
- Participate in the creation of preventative maintenance routines (PMRs) and bills of materials (BOMs) for electrical equipment.
- Prepare engineering scope of work for plant electrical projects.
- Interface with contractors utilized in project work, including solicitation of quotes, selection and field direction.
- Prepare cost estimates and justifications for the capital plan.
- Conduct economic and operation feasibility studies on proposed electrical modifications and additions.
- Maintain a standard set of specifications for consistent application related to modifications or additions.
- Maintain, organize, prepare, review and revise drawings as required.
- Develop detailed preventative maintenance routines for all plant electrical equipment.
- Research/recommend new PM procedures based on newly developed technologies.
- Use SAP to purchase parts and services, review work orders, analyse reports and manage capital projects related to electrical project management and PM development.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor's degree.
Field of Study Preferred: Chemical Engineering OR Electrical Engineering
Required Work Experience: 0-3 years
Required Computer and Software Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Travel Requirements: 5%

- Self-starter/ highly motivated team player.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
