Were seeking a Maintenance Supervisor (3rd Shift) who's ready to be part of an innovative, people-first brand shaping the future of the roofing industry.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

The successful candidate for this role will ensure the physical plant’s equipment is operational, direct all activities of maintenance department personnel for the assigned shift, while coordinating maintenance activities with the production team leads.  The succesful canididate will eventually be assigned as a 3rd shift Maintenance Supervisor but will train on 1st shift (usually for 2-3 weeks before being transferred to 3rd shift).  The last person in this role worked a Sunday night to Thursday night schedule with varying hours based on staffing and any ongoing large maintenance projects. 


WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Lead the activities of the maintenance department for the assigned shift
  • Coordinate maintenance and engineering efforts with headquarters and other plants.
  • Manage the plant’s spare parts.
  • Participate in the Process Safety Management program.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for the maintenance and repair of plant equipment.
  • Coordinate the corrective and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Maintain the electrical safety program for the plant.
  • Assembly and disassembly of machines to make repairs, perform inspections, or replace
    with new items.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting using a systematic process to identify root cause issues.
  • Utilize drawings and diagrams (electrical, piping, PID loops) to identify
    failed components and speed up repairs.
  • Perform lockout/tagout procedures per company policy.
  • Understand general safety protocols relating to mechanical operations.
  • Read, refine and develop preventive maintenance and other maintenance related
    documents (ECP’s, work orders, inventory sheets).
  • Understanding of spare parts controls.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Education:

  • High school diploma required
  • Certifications in mechanical/industrial fields (electrician, millwright, welding, etc.)
    preferred.

Required Work Experience:

  • Five or more years experience in an industrial environment as a maintenance supervisor.
  • Knowledge and experience with Hydraulics and Pneumatics, working with
    systems, reservoirs, pumps, valves, sensors, cylinders, piping, tubing, hoses, switches,
    and motors.
  • Knowledge and experience in the Electrical field with voltages from 24 V to 480
    V.
  • Must be able to utilize drawings and diagrams (electrical, piping, PID loops) to identify
    failed components and speed up repairs.
  • Experience with routine maintenance on overhead cranes would be preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Preventive Maintenance experience with industrial equipment.
  • Experience with Predictive Technologies such as Vibration Analysis, Thermography,
    Ultrasound equipment, and Precision Alignment would be a plus.
  • Must be able to pass a Mobile Equipment test.
  • Must be able to perform work in aerial lifts, scissor lifts, on ladders or other elevated
    devices.  
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel,
    Outlook).
  • Must be able to lift up 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, railcar platforms, lift and carry
    hoses, kneel, bend, reach and stoop.
  • Periods of prolonged sitting and data entry work.
  • Occasional forklift use.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
