Maintenance Technician

 

Plastatech Engineering has an opening for a Maintenance Technician in their Maintenance Department. The position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Saginaw, Michigan. This is a 3rd shift, full-time, hourly position with excellent benefits and offers a $1.50 per hour shift premium bonus. This position is also eligible to participate in the company's bonus program. 

Maintenance Technician Essential Functions:

 

•    Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment.
•    Operate a variety of hand and power tools to complete tasks as assigned.
•    Troubleshoot and repair machinery. 
•    Maintain facility and associated equipment. 
•    Work with maintenance vendors. 
•    Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
•    Complete and submit company purchase requisitions.
•    Install equipment and electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning.
•    Ensure all machinery follows federal, state, and company safety standards.
 

Maintenance Technician Requirements:

 

•    3-5 years industrial plant maintenance or electrical experience is highly desired. 
•    Ability to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals and follow step-by-step instructions.
•    Must have experience with Industrial Controls.
•    Mechanically inclined, and able to perform physical labor, lifting & operating machinery.
•    Ability to read blueprints and experienced with fabrication.
•    Excellent safety and attendance record.
•    Must be able to work overtime when required.
•    Self-motivated and be able to multi-task.
•    High attention to detail and be exceptionally organized. 
•    Must have initiative and be able to work in a team and individually.
