Description:

Join the EXCEPTIONAL® Metals team, a brand of Amrize Building Envelope and manufacturer of high-quality metal products designed for use with single-ply commercial roofing systems.

Were seeking a Order Processor, Metals who's ready to be part of an innovative, people-first brand shaping the future of the roofing industry.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Order Processor ensures accurate, efficient, and customer-focused movement of metal products from order entry through delivery. This role acts as a central hub between estimating, production, logistics, freight partners, sister companies, and customers—making sure every detail is correct and every order flows cleanly through the pipeline.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
•    Process metal orders from start to finish, reviewing details for accuracy, confirming requirements, and ensuring clean handoffs.
•    Create purchase orders for panels, trim, accessories, special items, and vendor-supplied components.
•    Enter orders into WebUI with full accuracy, including materials, finishes, gauges, configurations, and customer information.
•    Coordinate trim production with sister companies, confirming schedules, capabilities, and lead times.
•    Arrange panel + trim marrying and consolidated shipment, preventing mismatched deliveries and delays.
•    Monitor incoming panel confirmations, verifying accuracy against estimating takeoffs, specifications, and customer requirements.
•    Serve as a forward-facing customer service contact, providing updates, confirming deliveries, and managing order details throughout the lifecycle.
•    Solely manage PLA customer accounts, currently with a strong emphasis on edge metal products and support.
•    Inspect drawings before production, ensuring clarity, correctness, and alignment with order specifications before release.
•    Act as a communication hub, connecting estimating, scheduling, production, logistics, and freight services to maintain smooth flow.
•    Handle all drop-ship requests, coordinating orders that ship directly from vendors or sister facilities to customers.
•    Communicate with freight carriers to arrange pickups, track shipments, and resolve transit issues quickly.
•    Manage sample requests, overseeing the creation, tracking, and timely shipment of all sample materials.
•    Maintain sample inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels, organization, and replenishment as needed.
•    Coordinate with external vendors, securing materials, confirming availability, and maintaining accurate lead-time expectations.
•    Confirm final deliveries and fulfillment, proactively communicating with customers and documenting completion.
•    Support exception management, helping resolve discrepancies, shortages, and production issues when they arise.
•    Maintain accurate documentation, including order packets, confirmations, drawings, shipping details, and customer correspondence.
•    Assist with continuous process improvements, identifying ways to streamline workflow, reduce errors, and improve turnaround times.
•    Collaborate with sales support, assisting with technical clarity, customer questions, and product information when needed.
•    Help prioritize order flow, ensuring time-sensitive or high-impact jobs move through production with appropriate urgency.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
•    Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
•    Strong communication and follow-up skills, internally and externally.
•    High attention to detail, with the ability to manage many orders at varying stages.
•    Familiarity with metal roofing, panels, trim, and accessories is a plus.
•    Comfort working with freight carriers, vendors, and multi-site coordination.

WHAT WE OFFER
We offer a safe and clean work environment with excellent full-time benefits and offer room for advancement with built-in career progression. We offer competitive hourly wages with annual wage increases. We also offer a competitive benefits package that includes:

•    Medical, dental, and vision insurance
