Were seeking a Sign Maker / Process Improvement Technician who's ready to be part of an innovative, people-first brand shaping the future of the roofing industry.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Sign Maker / Process Improvement Technician designs, fabricates, and installs high-quality
interior and exterior signage while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site. This role
combines hands-on production work with operational support for 5S, Kaizen, and process optimization
activities to improve workplace organization, visual management, and production efficiency.


WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Design, fabricate, and install signage using a variety of materials, including metal, plastic, vinyl, and
    wood
  • Operate printers, vinyl cutters, and hand tools to produce professional-grade signage
  • Maintain sign-making equipment and manage materials, inventory, and purchasing
  • Implement standardized processes for sign requests, tracking, and fulfillment
  • Support site-wide 5S initiatives and visual management improvements\\
  • Conduct time studies and assist Kaizen facilitators in identifying process improvements
  • Track and prioritize signage requests from multiple sites
  • Produce signs, banners, labels, and visual controls in accordance with company standards
  • Create identification labels, rack labels, safety signage, and production visuals
  • Participate in Gemba walks and report on progress and observations
  • Support 5S events and workplace organization activities
  • Assist Kaizen events focused on efficiency and waste reduction
  • Conduct time studies to better understand production workflows
  • Respond to signage and labeling requests submitted by plants
  • Receive, organize, and store supplies appropriately
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Monitor material usage and maintain Kanban inventory levels
  • Submit purchase requisitions as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Required Work Experience:
0–2 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or technical environment preferred

Additional Requirements:

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Visio
  • Ability to operate or learn printers, vinyl cutters, and related fabrication tools
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
  • Ability to follow standards and procedures
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Interest in continuous improvement, Lean manufacturing, or process optimization
  • Ability to work on the production floor and lift materials as needed
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
