ABOUT THE ROLE

The Plant Engineer works closely with the VP of Engineering and the Plant Manager to provide technical expertise for the development, design, and execution of capital, expenses, and maintenance projects in a safe, profitable, timely, and efficient manner.

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

 

  • Develops, designs, performs cost estimation and justification, and prepares the business case for capital and expense projects per process design.
  • Schedules and executes equipment and machinery inspections.
  • Works closely with plant production management staff on continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintains work procedures and processes supporting company and departmental standards, procedures, and strategic directives.

 

 

 

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering.
  • Three or more years of experience in a manufacturing plant is preferred.
  • Solid project management skills, with the ability to manage many projects concurrently.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Ability to work with vendors, contractors, plant staff, corporate engineering, and others to complete projects on time and within budget.
