Description:

Join Amrize as a Labourer and help construct whats next. If you're ready to put your skills to work on projects that matter — and build a career with a company that’s building North America — we want to hear from you!

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Site Laborer to join our team. This is an entry-level position perfect for someone who wants to get their foot in the door of the aggregate industry.

We view this role as a training ground for our future talent. You will learn our operation from the ground up, getting familiar with the equipment, the tools, and the safety protocols. For candidates who show initiative and mechanical aptitude, this is a direct stepping stone to becoming a Heavy Equipment Operator or a Plant Maintenance Technician.

Your primary role is to keep the site safe, clean, and organized. You will be the "go-to" person for housekeeping, organizing the parts room, and operating small equipment. We are looking for someone who takes initiative—if you see a mess, you clean it; if the maintenance team is setting up for a big job, you are there to help prep the area.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Perform general manual labor around the crushing plant, including shoveling spillage and keeping walkways clear of debris.
  • Clean and detail company vehicles and heavy equipment cabs to maintain company standards.
  • Maintain the shop and break areas, ensuring trash is emptied and floors are swept.
  • Perform grounds maintenance, such as weed eating or clearing brush around the site perimeter.
  • Operate small equipment, such as skid steers or mini-excavators, to move debris, load trash, or perform light earthworks.
  • Assist the maintenance team with setup for larger jobs (e.g., dragging hoses, setting up lights, arranging tools).
  • Perform periodic inspections of critical safety equipment.
  • Organize the parts room and tool storage areas, ensuring every item has a dedicated place.
  • Assist with critical part inventory counts, checking in new parts deliveries, and stocking shelves.
  • Run parts errands or act as a "runner" to fetch tools and materials for the mechanics and operators during repairs.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Required Training/Certifications: Valid driver's license
Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry tools, parts, or materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, stoop, and shovel for extended periods during maintenance or blasting prep.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
  • A willingness to do "dirty work" and a desire to learn from experienced operators and maintenance personnel.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Hourly Wage: $28.00-$32.00/Hourly
  • Flexible Health & Dental benefits coverage for you and your dependents
  • A generous Pension Plan designed to support you through various stages of your career and life
  • Access to voluntary programs like RRSP and TFSA for future financial planning
  • Healthy Living support through an Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP), offering confidential assistance for work, health, or life challenges
  • Easy access to mental health and well-being support
  • Service recognition awards to celebrate your contributions
  • Perks & discounts on a variety of products and services
  • Access to online learning platforms, financial educational assistance, and a culture that fosters career growth and opportunities
  • Financial support for new parents beyond statutory benefits
  • An inclusive and welcoming environment where everyone can be themselves
  • A collaborative work culture in a supportive and team-oriented work environment
  • Company-provided personal protective equipment ensuring your safety and comfort on the job where applicable

As part of our dedicated focus on the health and safety of all employees, a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing and a criminal record check, will be required.
