ABOUT THE ROLE
The Project Procurement Manager is responsible for leading and managing the procurement activities for the project in accordance with the project schedule. This includes the procurement of equipment, materials, and services while ensuring compliance with company policies and project requirements. The role involves close collaboration with project management, engineering, and external suppliers to optimize costs and mitigate risks.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored to the project’s specific needs.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing and bidding to contract award and administration.
- Negotiate commercial terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure the best value and protection for the company.
- Coordinate with the engineering team to ensure technical specifications are accurately reflected in procurement documents.
- Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods and services.
- Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks through proactive planning and contract management.
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Provide regular reports on procurement status, budgets, and savings to project leadership.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the construction or industrial sectors.
- Certifications: Professional certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., SCMP, CSCP) is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
