ABOUT THE ROLE

The Inside Sales and Logistics Representative is responsible for selling the company’s products to specific segments of the customer base, supporting other sales representatives as well as the Regional Manager for the Greater Montreal and Laurentian Markets area. In addition, the role includes a logistics component in which the representative is responsible for supporting the customer service and logistics department to improve revenues, the efficiency of billing and management towards customers of new online ordering and tracking tools. The internal sales representative is therefore responsible for selling to current clients and developing a new clientele.

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Is committed to working safely at all times and on all sites.
  • Answer general customer questions (on products, prices, application at the construction site) and discover through technical questioning the solutions to propose.
  • Process payments upon delivery (COD) and ensure that the client accounts for which he is responsible are paid within the prescribed deadlines (receivable account)
  • 100% Manager of the customer portfolio of the concrete block product line and responsible for optimizing revenues in this segment.
  • Responsible for small and medium-sized customer acquisition (Cold Call) in specific sectors, establishing relationships with new customers and achieving sales targets.
  • Handle customer calls for ready-to-use concrete price requests from the greater Montreal area and the Laurentians for various segments.
  • Monitoring and counting of concrete block product inventories in the different installations of the market area.
  • Promote new online and smart phone ordering tools to the company’s active customers.
  • Establishment of a specific action plan to optimize the use of these new tools by the targeted clientele.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Education: Diploma of post-secondary studies (DEC or college).
  • Field of Study Preferred: Civil Engineering considered an asset.
  • Required Work Experience: Three to five years of experience in the building materials industry or a related field (sales or customer support).
  • Required Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer tools such as Microsoft Excel and Word, Sales Force, SAP, Batch Command.
  • Travel Requirements: 10%.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Mastery of the written and oral French and English language.
  • Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Work well under pressure.
  • Demonstrate thoroughness, method, and accuracy.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
