ABOUT THE ROLE
The Buyer is responsible for executing purchase to pay activities for purchases as pre-defined by Procurement Policies and Procedures (Buyways).
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Review and assess requisitions to ensure information is meaningful and correct, and redirect requisitions to the proper channel as defined.

Create the proper purchase order type (utilities, services, CAPEX, framework orders, etc.) and ensure proper use of PCS codes and tax requirements.

Ensure bids and requests for quotes are obtained according to policy.

Manage parked PO invoices and ensure standard payment terms are applied.

Direct vendor creations, changes, deletions, and extensions to the relevant Procurement Specialist for consideration.

Identify opportunities to improve the P2P process.

Ensure the highest compliance to procurement strategies and procedures.

Procure the right materials and services at the lowest total cost of ownership and have them available when needed, and be the main point of contact for data collection requested by the Procurement Manager.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Associate's degree or equivalent experience
Additional Education Preferred: Bachelor's degree
Field of Study Preferred: Finance/Accounting, Business, Purchasing Techniques
Required Work Experience: 3-5 years
Required Technical Skills: SAP experience preferred or a similar purchasing program. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft computer program skills.
Travel Requirements: 10-15%

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
