ABOUT THE ROLE
To effectively coordinate the daily operation of the production department ensuring all environmental, safety, quality, budget and production targets are being met. Also, achieve maximum optimization on a daily basis.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Directly coordinates the activities of all production systems at the plant including raw mill, homogenizing silo, proclaimer, kiln, cooler, clinker silo, finish mill, and cement shipments to meet marketing and inventory requirements.
- In the absence of a Distribution Coordinator, directly coordinate activities related to all services including raw materials and fuel receiving, inventory control and finish grinding and cement shipping (truck, rail and barge).
- Meet daily with other departments to coordinate efforts throughout the plant.
- Effectively troubleshoot problems in the department and in cooperation with Maintenance, ensure that these problems are repaired quickly to minimize downtime.
- Work with Maintenance Coordinator to plan and schedule major and minor outages.
- Evaluate and assess the performance and effectiveness of all direct reports and as required, development of improvement plans.
- Work with Store and Purchasing Department to establish necessary spare parts and inventory stocking levels for day-to-day production supplies.
- Ensure that all production teams have and are properly trained in the use of all safety equipment and supplies.
- Develop safety and emergency procedures and follow up on their use.
- Report and investigate accidents.
- Generate required production information including but not limited to: all reliability data, all daily production data, and various daily diary data.
- Assist the Production Manager in the development and implementation of equipment checklists, 1st level inspections and production operating procedures to include operating parameters and standard operating procedures.
- Work with other departments, especially the maintenance department to ensure daily operational problems are corrected in a timely and cooperative manner.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of equivalent experience.
Required Work Experience: 3 years of supervisory experience in the industry.
Required Technical Skills: Must have computer skills

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop,
kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. - The employee will frequently be required to walk on rocky, irregular surfaces that may be muddy and in reduced lighting conditions.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 90 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles, confined space, outside weather conditions, low lighting, artificial lighting, and explosives.
- The employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, proximity to electrical equipment, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
