ABOUT THE ROLE

The Maintenance Mechanic A is responsible for performing mechanical maintenance and repairs on plant machinery and equipment. This role troubleshoots issues, completes preventive maintenance tasks, and contributes to a safe, efficient manufacturing environment.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Responsible for adherence to company policies, including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain and repair plant machinery and equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation.
  • Respond promptly to mechanical breakdowns and perform necessary repairs.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks as scheduled.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Rig, move, and install equipment safely and efficiently.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Welding skills and certification are preferred.
  • Skills in mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.
  • Proficient with rigging and safely handling heavy machinery and components.
  • Ability to perform pipefitting and layout/fabrication work.
