ABOUT THE ROLE

This key leadership role is responsible for managing all maintenance activities, ensuring they are performed safely and efficiently to meet our world-class uptime and equipment reliability goals. The Maintenance Manager works closely with various departments to coordinate all mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Responsible for adherence to all company policies, including, but not limited to, the use of personal protective equipment and other health, safety, and environmental procedures. 
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations for the maintenance department.
  • Maintains maintenance and electrical schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
  • Maintains equipment and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
  • Direct supervisor of Maintenance Foreman and Electrical Foreman.
  • Supervises employees: planning and assigning work, adjusting schedules to meet production requirements, analyzing and resolving work problems, inspecting materials to verify conformance with standards, and working closely with HR on all disciplinary issues. 
  • Works closely with plant staff on continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Provides support to various departments throughout the plant for equipment installation, troubleshooting, rebuilding, and re-design.
  • Manages all weekly, quarterly, and annual preventive maintenance events.
  • Assists other departments with planning and technical assistance when needed. 
  • Manages several projects simultaneously in a high-stress and critical deadline environment.  
  • Ability to work with plant engineers, corporate engineers, vendors, and contractors to complete projects on time and within budget. 
  • Works any and all shifts and is available on an on-call basis in times of need.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Degree in Engineering with an emphasis in any of the following: Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Process Controls, or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least three years of successful and current experience as a maintenance manager or engineer in a continuous, high-speed manufacturing operation. 
  • Must be able to excel in a deadline-oriented environment and demonstrate a high level of competence in organizing and prioritizing multiple work assignments.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently within interpretive guidelines, take the initiative, and perform effectively in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence.
  • Creative problem solving; great team player.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office.
