ABOUT THE ROLE

  • This one-year contract will see you help to maintain a safe and efficient operation of a concrete batch plant including concrete mixer drivers and plant maintenance to ensure delivery of quality product, timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Health and Safety: Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas. Correct safety issues immediately when possible, and offer employees coaching on safe work practices. Ensures all aspects of his/her role are executed in a safe manner
  • Environment: Demonstrate a commitment to meet/exceed environmental compliance.
  • Batching: In a fast paced, customer oriented environment, responsible for scheduling concrete deliveries, providing pricing to customers, ordering raw material as required for production and ensuring accurate batching to produce a quality product to meet the customers' requirements.
  • Operations Analysis and Action Tracking: Track performance, establish effective action plans and continuously improve the operations.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety andenvironmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Minimum 1-2 year’s supervisory experience.
  • Experience in the ready mix business preferred.
  • Customer Service oriented.
  • Excellent Communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Good organization and planning skills; able to multi-task, prioritize and maintain composure in a busy environment.
  • Self-Motivated.
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, SAP, Command-Alkon).

 
Additional Requirements:

  • Available to work overtime as needed.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
