ABOUT THE ROLE 
The receptionist plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations of Amrize Winnipeg. Reporting to the Materials Supervisor, the receptionist is responsible for presenting a positive and helpful attitude toward customers, employees, and the general public.  The receptionist will collaborate with various segments of the business to ensure alignment between front office operations and broader organizational needs.
 


WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Greet and welcome internal and external guests at the main reception; Answer the main phone line and respond to general inquiries from the public; Present a positive and professional image to visitors and callers
  • Reinforce safety culture by assisting the safety team with site orientations by preparing paper work and keeping PPE storage well maintained; Maintain visitor orientation tracking sheets
  • Manage incoming/outgoing mail and couriers
  • Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of common areas: reception, meeting rooms, copy areas, supply room, lunchroom, kitchenettes; Check machines in common areas (coffee machines, photocopiers, check-in system) to ensure they function properly and arrange service when needed
  • Assist with boardroom/meeting logistics, including room booking requests, catering set-up and clean-up
  • Manage office supply inventory and ordering; Assist with payment of office supply invoices via SAP
  • Maintain phone lists and reception manual
  • Liaise with building maintenance and vendors for office services
  • Perform other office duties as assigned by the Materials Supervisor
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

 
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Post-secondary education in Business Administration is an asset
Required Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of receptionist or administrative experience
Required Technical Skills: Competency in Google Workspace, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Additional Requirements: 

  • Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, keen attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
