ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a concrete batch plant. This includes managing concrete mixer drivers and overseeing plant maintenance. Your goal is to ensure the timely delivery of a quality product, ultimately driving customer satisfaction

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Correct safety issues immediately when possible, and offer employees coaching on safe work practices.
  • Ensures all aspects of his/her role are executed in a safe manner.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to meet/exceed environmental compliance.
  • In a fast paced, customer oriented environment, responsible for scheduling concrete deliveries, providing pricing to customers, ordering raw material as required for production and ensuring accurate batching to produce a quality product to meet the customers requirements.
  • Track performance, establish effective action plans and continuously improve the operations
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Education: High School.
  • Required Work Experience: 1-2 years as a Supervisor in a Union environment.
  • Required Training/Certifications: Ready Mix experience an asset.
  • Required Technical Skills: Reading and writing skills.
  • Travel Requirements: Minimal.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Ability to work Overtime as needed.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
