Plant Maintenance Technician
ABOUT THE ROLE
Amrize a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has an immediate opening for Plant Maintenance Technician to support operations for North Texas and Oklahoma aggregate sites. This position will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a wide variety of fixed mechanical equipment, systems and machinery.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Routinely walk the plant to inspect mechanical equipment and parts and systems in need of repair or replacement.
- Communicate with Plant Management on a daily basis to discuss items in need of mechanical attention.
- Maintain crushers, conveyor belts, pulleys, pumps, screens and screen bearings.
- Prior to undertaking any diagnosis or repair, conduct a job safety analysis to identify and isolate any hazards such as energy (lock-out, tag-out), working at heights, confined spaces, etc.
- Report all incidents, accidents, near misses and first aid events to Supervisors as soon as possible. Complete incident reports as instructed.
- Attend and actively participate in regular safety toolbox talks, production meetings and trainings
- Adhere to all Company Safety, Environmental, Compliance, Human Resources and Plant policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent; Two (2) to three (3) years of specialized technical training, apprenticeship, or relevant certifications are strongly preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressive, hands-on experience in industrial maintenance within a construction, building materials, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment, demonstrating
increasing complexity in maintenance and repair work. - Advanced proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, with demonstrated ability for advanced troubleshooting and repair.
- Strong electrical knowledge, including the ability to perform low voltage troubleshooting and repair on basic and complex electrical control systems.
- Working knowledge and practical experience with predictive and preventative maintenance techniques, such as vibration analysis, equipment balancing, and laser alignment.
- Proficient welding and fabrication skills (e.g., stick, MIG), with demonstrated ability to perform complex repairs and installations.
- Ability to work overtime / weekends.
- DOT certification desirable.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
