ABOUT THE ROLE
Amrize is looking for a Job Cost Assistant who can support the accounting and project management teams by helping to track project expenses, processing invoices and ensuring accurate data entry into our software.
WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH
- Verify and process subcontractor invoices in SAP and input verified subcontractor invoice amounts.
- Monitor subcontractor PO limits to proactively manage increased requests and prevent payment delays.
- Assist with onboarding new vendors, including completing Venquest forms and assisting with Avetta safety program requirements.
- Update software with accrued concrete costs and ticket information from daily Command billing, enter concrete and aggregate invoice details per job, and update revenue and invoice information once job has been billed.
- Perform month-end entries for accrued labor, concrete, and aggregate amounts to ensure accurate job costing.
- Update completed jobs by address to signal payment and retrieve PO information for invoicing purposes in specific customer platforms.
- Create and distribute customer invoices according to individual requirements.
- Maintain a tracking spreadsheet for a specific customer, documenting overages, underage, and relevant PO information for foundation and exterior concrete work.
- Coordinate with the Scheduling Coordinator to pre-authorize COD orders before shipping, based on Project Manager Quotations.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Required Work Experience: Experience in accounting, bookkeeping or construction accounting is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
- Proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel).
- Strong attention to detail
- Mathematical aptitude
- The ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
