ABOUT THE ROLE
The Electrical Reliability Planner is responsible for improving the reliability, availability, and performance of plant electrical assets through effective planning, scheduling, inspection, condition monitoring, and maintenance optimization activities.
This position develops and manages preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for electrical equipment, ensuring maintenance resources, materials, and third-party services are planned and executed safely, efficiently, and cost effectively. The role supports continuous improvement of equipment reliability and maintenance performance through SAP PM management, condition-based maintenance, root cause analysis, shutdown planning, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
The Electrical Reliability Planner works closely with Operations, Mechanical, Project, Procurement, and contractors to achieve plant safety, reliability, availability, and cost objectives while following the Amrize Integrated Maintenance (AIM), Maintenance Management System (MAC), and corporate maintenance standards.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Manage SAP PM master data, including bills of materials (BOMs), critical spare parts, and material requirements planning (MRP).
- Review maintenance notifications, assess workload, and identify requirements for third-party services.
- Plan, review, and optimize preventive and corrective maintenance routines, including task frequencies, workload balancing, and a 48-week maintenance plan.
- Prioritize and generate preventive and corrective maintenance orders based on equipment condition, inspection results, and operational priorities.
- Develop weekly, daily, and 13-week maintenance schedules, including major shutdown and turnaround plans.
- Lead major repair and shutdown planning, meetings, inspections, and After Action Reviews while ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Generate and track purchase requests for materials, spare parts, wear parts, and services to support timely delivery and optimize inventory levels.
- Maintain current knowledge of plant electrical equipment condition and ensure required inspections and follow-up maintenance activities are completed.
- Monitor and coordinate condition monitoring activities for critical equipment, including maintaining equipment specifications, history files, databases, and trends.
- Evaluate and improve preventive and inspection job plans for electrical equipment, including motor lubrication programs and condition monitoring activities.
- Identify cost-effective opportunities to improve equipment reliability, extend equipment life, and optimize maintenance strategies.
- Administer the maintenance work order system by generating notifications, closing condition monitoring work orders, tracking completed work, and supporting continuous improvement.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelors Degree or Journeyman Electrician (Red Seal preferred)
Field of Study Preferred: Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a Journeyman Electrician qualification (Red Seal preferred)
Required Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience in maintenance planning, reliability, or a related role within a cement or heavy industrial environment. Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance is preferred.
Required Technical Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Projects), Google Docs (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive), SAP (PM, MM, PS, CATS), TIS, PACT
Travel Requirements: 10%
