ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Process Engineer - ISO will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of new or revised processes to support new or legacy product innovation and drive
processes continuous improvement. Initiatives include safety, product quality, consistency, cost reduction, higher efficiency, and greater machine utilization performance. This senior technical position
requires advanced organizational and problem-solving skills, knowledge, education, leadership, and work experience to develop solutions to complex problems. The position will primarily support the ISO Operations, and be located at one location, but travel will be necessary as needed.

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Lead by example in engaging with, participating in, and promoting safety and EHS initiatives
  • Collaborate with site teams to achieve Quality KPIs, including First Pass Yield targets
  • Investigate critical quality issues and customer complaints; partner with the Quality
  • Department on corrective actions
  • Drive process reliability, standardization, and variation reduction
  • Improve raw material specifications; lead process trials and raw material qualification
  • Support new product introductions and qualifications
  • Provide process leadership on cost efficiency initiatives, including material usage and leveraging of new technologies (AI)
  • Identify and support other process-related cost savings opportunities
  • Ensure timely execution of equipment and process projects for new or modified products, driving adherence to the New Product Process to meet launch dates
  • Maintain robust Process Control Plans and formulation controls to meet product specification and quality.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance on all processes; manage change effectively through PHAs, HAZOPs, or similar methods
  • Partner functionally with Value Streams across the ISO business to support collaboration, issue resolution, and business initiatives
  • Engage in internal and external industry activities to expand technical knowledge
  • Attend technical conferences and seminars to stay current on emerging technologies and processes
  • Travel as needed to support ISO business activities or consult with other facilities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, preferred degree in Chemistry, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • 5+ years of engineering or plant manufacturing leadership experience in related manufacturing industries.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in Statistical Process Control, DOE, TPM, PFMEA and Lean/Six-Sigma manufacturing methodologies.
  • Ability to coach, teach and develop a team of engineers.
  • Experience with Management of Change (MOC), PHAs and HAZOPs.
  • Experience with Regulatory Standard compliance including OSHA and EPA.
  • Strong office tool skills, including MS Office suite and statistical analysis tools like Minitab.
  • The working conditions include manufacturing office as well as dusty, non-airconditioned industrial manufacturing and warehouse areas.
  • Working temperature can vary with seasons and be especially hot in areas of the plant.
  • Occasional work is required in outdoor activities in hot or adverse weather.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to climb ladders, railcar platforms, lift and carry hoses, kneel, bend, reach and stoop. 
  • Periodic periods of prolonged sitting and data analysis work.
  • Travel Requirements: Less than 30%
