ABOUT THE ROLE
This position is responsible for ground operations, such as clean up, wash out, painting, greasing equipment in and around the plant.

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Performs physically demanding tasks to including operating hand and power tools; cleaning and maintaining conveyor systems and supporting equipment operators.
  • Cleaning up spills and debris from conveyors
  • Shoveling aggregate and wash out.
  •  Ensuring workplace is safe, tidy and adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Safely and efficiently running bobcats and small pieces of equipment.
  • Assisting with basic plant maintenance.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Education:GED or High School Diploma preferred

Required Work Experience: Experience working in varying weather elements preferred.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions.
  • Highly dependable, ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to learn plant flow, plant operations to include conveyors and crushing equipment. 
  • Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co–workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
  • Previous experience in a construction or quarry environment is preferred.
  • This job requires shift work, callouts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekend and holiday work. Employees may have the work schedule adjusted on short notice.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face inorder to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
