ABOUT THE ROLE
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership, management support, and operational analysis across the market area. This role acts as a critical link between local operations and functional groups (Environment, Land, Manufacturing, Safety, and HR) to drive consistency, process optimization, and operational excellence. The main objective is to optimize available reserves, track consumption, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver maximum productivity at the lowest cost of production through detailed operational cost, variance, and forecast reporting.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Provide key operational data and analysis (including variance analysis and forecast preparation) to support strategic decision-making across site and market areas.
- Optimize available reserves and leverage operational excellence to drive high productivity at the lowest cost of production.
- Maintain and monitor accurate tracking systems for key consumption variables such as labor, fuel, and energy.
- Implement, utilize, and support operational best practices and common operating processes (CORe, SOPs, TOP Performance Module) across all sites.
- Support monthly operational capital project tracking, status reporting, and annual capital planning (CERs) alongside maintenance leadership.
- Support monthly inventory reconciliations to align production, supply chain, quality, and sales demands while managing working capital impact.
- Assist in managing site environmental and sustainable land/mining plans in alignment with company and regulatory guidelines.
- Develop, motivate, and train administrative, production, and shipping personnel to improve analytical and operational efficiency.
- Cultivate positive community relations by participating in local activities, industry partnerships, and business committees.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Education: College or University Degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent professional experience.
- Required Work Experience: 2 to 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience working in a similar operational environment.
- Required Technical Skills: Proficiency with various computer applications (standard office and data reporting software).
- Familiarity with common operating reports (CORe), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and TOP Performance Modules.
Additional Requirements:
- Knowledge of the aggregate and ready-mix concrete industry preferred.
- Basic understanding of general accounting principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both official languages.
- Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, time-management, and decision-making skills.

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
