We’re seeking a Logistics Data Analytics Manager who’s ready to put your skills to work on projects that matter — and build a career with a company that’s building North America.

Job Title: Logistics Data Analytics Manager   |   Req ID: 18281   |   Location: Plano Willow Bend Office TX

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Logistics Data Analytics Manager provides dedicated ownership of network optimization across ACM, supporting Ready Mix, Aggregates, Asphalt and Construction with an initial focus on road logistics. This is a highly analytical, data-driven role responsible for connecting material flows, volumes, haul distance, capacity, equipment, asset utilization and cost into a clear view of network performance.

The role uses data, modeling and operational insight to identify inefficiencies, quantify opportunities and develop actionable recommendations that improve utilization, capacity planning and total logistics cost. This position works cross-functionally with Finance, Operations and Procurement to validate assumptions, evaluate trade-offs and turn complex data into practical network decisions.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Develop and maintain an end-to-end, data-driven view of the ACM road logistics network, connecting sources, plants, projects, customers, volumes, miles, equipment, capacity and logistics cost.
  • Use detailed transportation and operational data to identify and quantify network inefficiencies across haul distance, cross-market movements, truck turns, cycle and wait times, loaded versus empty miles, equipment positioning and network bottlenecks.
  • Build forward-looking capacity and demand models that translate current and forecasted volumes, seasonality and major project demand into truck, equipment, geographic and cost requirements.
  • Improve fleet and asset productivity through quantitative analysis of truck utilization, turns per truck, internal fleet utilization, backhauls, equipment positioning and third-party capacity requirements.
  • Identify unnecessary miles, cost and complexity across the network, quantify the business impact and work cross-functionally with Finance, Operations and Procurement to implement improvements.
  • Develop scenario models and business cases to quantify the logistics and financial impact of volume changes, major projects, source constraints, staging opportunities, capacity repositioning and alternative network configurations.
  • Translate network analysis into clear capacity, sourcing and commercial requirements, partnering cross-functionally with Procurement when external carrier capacity or market action is required.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations and Procurement to validate data, assumptions and financial impacts, align on recommendations and support decisions that improve network performance.
  • Measure and communicate network performance through data-driven KPIs including haul distance, miles removed, truck utilization, turns, empty miles, cycle time, capacity utilization, cost per ton / load / mile, identified capacity gaps and total logistics cost improvement.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

  • Own and maintain network datasets, analytical models and visualizations for material flows, volumes, miles, equipment, capacity, utilization and logistics cost across the assigned ACM network.
  • Analyze source-to-destination movements, haul distances, truck turns, cycle time, wait time, deadhead, loaded/empty miles, equipment positioning and cost data to identify structural inefficiencies and quantify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop capacity, demand and cost models for current operations, peak periods, seasonal requirements, major projects and forecasted market growth.
  • Evaluate internal and external capacity utilization using operational and financial data to determine the most efficient capacity mix and identify productivity opportunities before incremental capacity is introduced.
  • Perform scenario and sensitivity modeling to assess the network and financial impact of changes in volume, source utilization, source capacity, staging concepts, fleet deployment and capacity repositioning.
  • Convert analytical findings into clear logistics requirements and actionable recommendations, working cross-functionally with Procurement on carrier development, sourcing, RFQs, negotiations and commercial execution when required.
  • Work closely with Finance, Operations and Procurement to validate assumptions, reconcile data, evaluate operational and financial trade-offs and support implementation of network improvements.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards and performance measures that provide visibility to network efficiency, utilization, capacity, service and cost, and clearly quantify opportunities and realized results.
  • Partner with Operations to understand real-world operating constraints and validate analytical findings in the field, ensuring recommendations are practical, executable and sustainable.
  • Track realized network improvements against modeled business cases and maintain a quantified pipeline of optimization opportunities, risks, capacity constraints and expected financial impact.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
