ABOUT THE ROLE
The Reliability Engineer is assigned to identifying, developing and implementing engineering and system projects to improve plant condition, operability, equipment reliability, cost optimization, and compliance with environmental and safety performance. In carrying out the duties of this position, a primary objective is to improve the value of all company assets through increased reliability and lower operating costs while allowing the operation of the equipment to meet production requirements within budget guidelines.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Monitor and manage reliability-based programs, including preventative maintenance, lubrication, vibration analysis, and condition monitoring.
- Plan and schedule weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual preventative maintenance routines (PMRs), including work order completion and follow-up.
- Develop and maintain preventative maintenance routines (PMRs) and bills of materials (BOMs) for new and existing equipment, including mobile equipment.
- Manage predictive and preventative maintenance programs, including vibration analysis, oil analysis, NDT, thermography, and inspections, to maximize equipment availability.
- Develop and implement equipment inspection programs to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
- Identify and eliminate recurring equipment issues using root cause analysis (RCA), Pareto analysis, FMEA, statistical analysis, and other reliability tools.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving equipment reliability, availability, MTBF, and NAI.
- Coordinate with maintenance planners and support SAP system activities related to preventative maintenance optimization and development.
- Provide technical support, training, and guidance to maintenance teams while promoting reliability best practices and knowledge sharing.
- Promote a strong culture of health, safety, and environmental compliance while researching technical solutions and coordinating resources to resolve equipment and reliability challenges.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor Degree
Additional Education Preferred: Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
Field of Study Preferred: 3 years in heavy industry
Required Technical Skills: Comprehensive computer software knowledge required, including Excel, Word, Project, Auto CAD, SAP, etc. is preferred
