ABOUT THE ROLE
The prime objective of the Maintenance Planner is to improve the efficiency and productivity of maintenance own personnel and third-party maintenance services through the Winter Turnaround Outages (WTO), follow up and optimization of all preventive and corrective maintenance tasks during the Winter Turnaround Outages (WTO). In addition to achieve the set targets for equipment maintenance and WTO works, schedules at the lowest optimum and sustainable maintenance cost, in collaboration with all involved departments or sub-departments, following the maintenance guidelines (CIF and MAC) defined by the company.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Identifies, plans and collaborates with the Environment team for compliance with legislation and policies.
- Plan maintenance activities for the major/annual outages well in advance by identifying and tracking the status of long lead spares and services using STO modules in SAP.
- Follows the preparation and consolidation of the shutdown planning (personal, third parties services, materials, spare parts, equipment, tools, time, critical path) with coordination meetings.
- Tracking daily progress and costs of major outages through daily meetings.
- Contribute to the reliability of the equipment by daily review of maintenance request and collaborating with production and inspectors.
- Generate and follow up purchase requests for materials, spare and wear parts, ensuring just in time delivery.
- Ensure the equipment parts catalog (both in SAP and equipment folders) reflects all plant equipment changes.
- Track all statistics related to the Maintenance Department Activities (KPI) such as repeat work, PM compliance, and MTBF.
- Estimates, tracks and controls the cost of maintenance work orders, adjusting planning to remain within budgetary constraints.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Education: College degree (DEC) in industrial maintenance.
- Experience: A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in a heavy industry.
- Technical Skills: SAP, Microsoft and Google suites.
- Knowledge of problem solving techniques (i.e. Pareto Analysis, Root Cause Failure Analysis, etc.).
- Strong communicator (both oral & written) with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Highly motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
Additional Requirements:
- Extensive experience in heavy industrial equipment repair; experience in inspection and welding an asset.
- Extensive experience in Winter Turnaround Outages (WTO) maintenance planning and using planning software.
- Travel Requirements: 10%.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
